HOT FUZZ MEETS THE X FILES
When a small-town Colorado sheriff and his bumbling but loyal deputy investigate a missing hiker, they stumble into a surreal collision of Bigfoot believers, inept rescuers, and a sinister pharmaceutical conspiracy-forcing them to test their friendship, their sanity, and whether the truth is stranger than myth.

Joey Geech is the sheriff of Bailey, Colorado, and his lifelong friend Rocky Malone is his deputy. When a woman disappears on a hike, they are called to the scene. Her husband saw something grab her. Something hairy. Rocky insists it was Bigfoot, while Joey, the sane one, suspects foul play causing a rift in their friendship. Their search pulls them into a world of hilarious cryptid cultists, conspiracy theorists, and FBI interference.

As Rocky falls under the spell of a Sasquatch nut, Mary Sunshine and her Bigfoot “mindspeak,” Joey digs into a troubling pattern: dozens of hikers disappearing in the Rockies. The trail leads to Willy, a low-level pharma worker abducting hikers as unwilling test subjects for a shadowy drug trial.

In the climax, Ellen (Joey’s sharp wife) goes undercover and is kidnapped, leading to a chaotic mountain showdown involving an attempted extraction, drunk and stoned Search & Rescue misfits, including Gerald, (king of the misfits), their leader who only speaks Spanish, and their trembling chihuahua canine unit, all culminating to Joey & Rocky’s heartfelt reconciliation. The FBI busts the conspiracy, but the missing hiker is never found. The ending teases that perhaps Bigfoot—and stranger things—still lurk in the shadows leading to the second film of the franchise, HIGHER STRANGENESS.
